We do land clearing in Shallotte, North Carolina, and on rural acreage across western Brunswick County. Shallotte sits inland on US 17, roughly 20 minutes from Holden Beach and Ocean Isle Beach. US 17 runs through Shallotte and splits the town's land into two kinds of work. East of it the parcels are smaller and the setbacks are tighter. Driveways are short, and there is not much room to turn a machine. Lot clearing there is close work. The Bobcat T300 runs on tracks, so it spreads its weight instead of cutting ruts. That helps on the soft ground near the Shallotte River and the creeks that feed it.
West of the highway the parcels get bigger. Roads toward Ash and Civietown run past open fields and planted pine. Land clearing on 5 or 20 acres moves at a different pace than a single lot. We work in passes across the tract so you can see progress as it happens. If a section is far enough along, tell us and we stop there. The mulch stays on the ground and breaks down over the next few seasons.
