These are the questions Grand Strand landowners ask us most: what we
handle, clearing versus mulching, what things cost, and when to
schedule. Don't see yours? Call and ask the family directly.
We are based in Longs, SC and work about 50 miles in every direction. That covers Horry and Georgetown counties in South Carolina, plus Brunswick and Columbus counties in North Carolina. Little River, North Myrtle Beach, Myrtle Beach, Conway, Loris, Aynor, Calabash, Shallotte, Tabor City and Leland are all in range.
What services do you offer?
If it grows and needs to go, it is probably our work: land clearing, forestry mulching, bush hogging, brush clearing and removal, lot clearing, pasture reclamation, and fence line clearing. One tracked machine with a forestry mulcher head handles all of it, and the growth gets ground into mulch on your property.
Do you do stump grinding or tree removal?
No. Stump grinding and big-tree removal are jobs we do not offer, and we would rather tell you that up front than book work our machine cannot do. Our mulcher handles brush and trees up to roughly 6 to 8 inches across. Stumps get ground low and stay in the ground.
How much does land clearing cost?
It depends on the acreage, how thick the growth is, the ground conditions, and access for the machine. That is why we look at the property first. The estimate is free and you get a real number before any work starts. Our land clearing cost guide on the blog covers published market ranges.
What happens to the brush and trees you clear?
Everything gets ground into wood chips right where it stood. The chips stay on your land as a mulch layer that holds the sandy soil in place and breaks down over the seasons. There are no burn piles to permit and watch, and no dump trucks hauling debris off your property.
Can you work on wet or soft ground?
Often, yes. The Bobcat T300 runs on tracks, which spread its weight over soft coastal ground far better than wheels. Low spots that hold water are common around here. Ground that is truly saturated waits for a dry stretch, and we tell you which parts we can reach when we look at the property.
Do you work in North Carolina too?
Yes. Longs sits close to the state line, so we work both sides of it. Calabash, Carolina Shores, Sunset Beach, Shallotte, Tabor City and up to Leland are all inside our range. A Brunswick County job and a Horry County job are the same trip for us.
